The first mile and a half went well, I was only averaging about an 11:45 minute pace, still recovering from the weekend. However by the time I was at the 1 1/2 mile mark it felt like I was pushing:
This seemed to get my heart rate up, but the speed kept about the same. Then I got around the 3 mile mark and it started to feel like I was:
Well, I was able to finish the run, it did add a new perspective to the thought of adding one of these to my usual running routine, like Tire Boy. . . . ;)
My brother-in-law drives one of these for a living, and I am trying to get an old tire for Bob so he can train while pulling a real tire. I wonder if UPS or FedEx would deliver it to Florida?

Very cute. Michelle (Micki just wants to have a run) pushes one around all the time with 2 kids in it. I have no idea how she does that.
That truck is HUGE. Poor Bob.
I've always wondered how pushing one of those would change a run. Now I know. Thanks.
I've heard pushing the jogger is tough. In fact I saw one dad training with one with no kid in it. Instead he had 2 bags of sugar (or flour). I had to ask him what he was doing. His wife was pregnant and he was in training for when the baby came! LOL!
I do not know how Michelle does it. I will be doin this on my Monday and Wednesday runs, when I am home.
Tiggs- that is funny training for when the baby came...
I hear you about pushing those strollers around. And yes, I do push a double one with my kids in it, and it weighs around 100 pounds. I am nuts!!!! :-)
Great job, though! I have found that pushing the stroller when I have to makes my other runs feel MUCH easier. LOL!!
There is not much that I hate more than pushing the jogging stroller! Michelle is nuts for doing it with two in it! Nice job getting the run in!
Now THAT'S a big tire!
Cute post. I never thought about it being that hard, but what do I know? I never had to do it. My little sister pushes her two kids in a jogging stroller. I now have a much greater respect for her!
Great post! I have pushed my little guy a few times in the jogging stroller and I hate it. Bleck.
lmaooooooooooooooooooo
NO please don't send me that Tire, the one I pulled the other day practically killed me....I might downgrade to a 10 speed tire next week--haha
Enjoy ur Weekend!
Ha ha...you are funny!!!
When I was running the other day I saw a group of moms working out with their strollers. Freaking crazy!!!
Maybe you just have to be a mom!!!
Eric, this made me LOL!!! Too funny! But a great workout ;)
What's with signing me up for 410 miles, hmmm, hmmmmm??????
OMG!!! Bob TOTALLY needs that tire LMAO!!
Our running club presidents run their long run (20 miles or so) every Sunday pushing their 4 year old daughter in a stroller...we all joke that either she'll be an Olympic runner, or totally hate it!
And I'm so jealous of your brother! I have always wanted to drive one of those big dump trucks!!!
