Weight Loss Continues...

Well, the past three weeks, we (Lori and I) have been working out with a personal trainer, with the objective of fat loss as our goal. We weighed in yesturday and I have dropped 5 LBS and 3% body fat. We will take the assumption that the calipers are accurate... What this means to me being that I weigh in the neighborhood of 200lbs is, I lost 6LBS of fat (3%) and gained 1 lb of muscle. Or something like that. Either way you look at it, I am getting fitter and thinner. I will start running again this weekend, since I have taken some time off to recover from the marathon.
My running plans for this year are several 5K's, Jerome Hill Climb, Mad Dog 50K, Across the Years 24 hour run.
We have finally moved all of our stuff to the new house, and I do not miss stairs one bit. They are fun at the gym, but not in the middle of the night.

Awesome job with the weight loss! I'm going to hit the gym at lunch time today and see what I can do. I'm missing the workouts. I'm hoping that I can toe the line at the 4th of July Summer Series race...and actually run it.

Nice job!!! When is the Jerome Hill Climb?

3% that's super good! You are working hard - keep it up. See, I'm not trying to loose weight, but I'm pretty much undergoing the same steps as you. I hope you are having fun - much easier this way.

Also, just to mention, but keep telling your trainer to kick your butt - I think it's good if they hear it often!

Phil told us about Jerome Hill. that sounds like a neat race.

Congrats on the MARATHON!!! Why to plug in when you thought you could not or did not want to finish. I read Dean's book a year ago and think I will read it again. It really gets me pumped up!!

Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon?!! Now that would be crazy. The altitude was such a factor for me. Do you not have problems with that?

Love your highlight list on your marathon results post. Always funny at what we see along the way.

Ooooooo that's AWESOME HOMIE!! I need me a personal trainer and some calipers. Something tells me I'd probably want to shoot myself after finding out my results LOL

Congrats on the Marathon! What an accomplishment and sounds like you had a great time. Dean sure is a smart one, isn't he?

You're doing so GREAT on the weightloss. I think mine is going okay, but not what I wanted. I think I'm gaining muscle too so I'm not seeing the scale as I'd like to.

Congrats on the house! We're looking at building a 1 level house too cause I hate the stairs, but it will have a basement and bonus above, but I won't have to climb stairs all the time. Smart thinking!!
